Number system is a method of expressing
numbers by means of symbols where each symbol receives a specific value or
position.
Decimal
number system
The number system of base ten of different
digits to represent different values is known as decimal number system. The
decimal number system consists of ten digits from 0 to 9.
Binary
number system
The number system of base two that represents
values is known as binary number system. The binary number system consists of
two digits 0 and 1.
Octal
number system
The number system that uses eight different
digits to represent different values is known as octal number system. The octal
number system has eight digits starting from 0 to 7.
Hexa-decimal
number system
The number system with base 16 is called
hexa-decimal number system. The hexa-decimal number system consists of sixteen
digits from 0 to 9 and A to F to represent values ten to fifteen.
