Definition
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical
and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network
without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.
IoT, in simpler terms, is a technology that connects all electronic
devices together and prompts them to exchange information without any human
intervention.The term "The Internet of Things" was coined by Kevin Ashton in a presentation to Proctor & Gamble in 1999.
